IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | I am going to change my oil tomorow, a Subaru dealer is at least 15 miles away. Should I buy one from Pep Boys or should I go to the dealer to get the filter? Next time I will order one through the internet.. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Just because a filter has more surface area does not mean it is has a higher filtering effiency...one does not automatically mean the other. That's why there is industry standard ISO 4548-12 to determine efficiency. Common paper/cellulose isn't going to trap as much as a high-quality synthetic filter. Quality not quantity. You should send in an oil analysis of your own to blackstone or some such place. |
