IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I was talking to a guy from Subaru the other day and he told me that keeping a warranty is pretty damn hard when the want to modify is there, stating the obvious i then jumped to the question about the COBB AP that i've been reading about, and asked him if uploading the AP into my 07 STi would hurt the warranty or be seen by the dealership. As you may have guessed he didn't have an answer for me so here I am asking you guys, if you know of or experienced warranty issues when dealing with the COBB AP please inform me. I really want to know the ins and outs of ECU tuning before making the investment, even though i'm pretty much sold on the idea. Thanks. This ad is not endorsed by this member. A lot of people are willing to take the risk. But ask yourself am I willing to cover the replacement of my engine at my expense. If the answer is yes, mod at will, if no then stay with SOA approved products and keep the ECU stock. |

I was fortunate that Subaru reflashed my ECU for free, but it's worth asking yourself "why do I need more than 300hp?" Plus, when you whoop on someone at the track/autox and they ask you what you've done to the car, it's fun to say that you're "stock" |

That's what it's all about!!!! I have the dilema of going stg 2 to please myself, or staying stock so when a Stg 4 guy comes and asks what I've done I can show him its stock. That in many ways is much more satisfying. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. | |
