depending on the type of EM that you use and if you want to swap out your DP every time you take it in.

FWIW dealerships dont have a tool that will tell them if your ECU has been flashed or not...

I think it's a waste to do it all with-out getting it pro-tuned. A tune would properly adjust your a/f ratios and timing to get the most out of your mods. Then you will have a custom map for your car. I live in West Virginia, and I had to drive 300 miles to Dulles, Va. ( right outside of D.C.). Actually, I had to make the trip twice because I upgraded to a 20G with supporting mods after I went stage 2. It probably won't hurt your car if you don't get it tuned, but I wouldn't risk it. Good Luck ! Okey

I have yet to hear anyone say, "Man I wish I never got that protune".

And as for reflashing, my point was that its a hassle to change a DP just to keep your warranty and its fraud as well. And if you arent changing the DP, you may as well leave the EM alone because the dealer cant tell anyways.

The warrnty issues are usually rooted in:

1. IF there is a problem and the dealer can prove the Cobb stg. 2 caused it.

2. How "mod-friendly" the dealer is.

not sure if it is a state law or federal law but I was under the impression that a dealership has to prove that your mod was a contributing factor to anything related to warranties.

for example: If my stock cat converter craps out, they have to prove that my intake caused the damage if my intake was being accused of contributing to the cat dying. if they can't, they can't void the warranty work based upon me moding my intake.
