Default Front Main Seal Leak on 2004 Sti

Just wondering if this is a common problem that people have seen with the STI in 2004 -

I have heard that there are issues and the dealer is saying that I need to pay for it as it is past the warranty - but the tech mentioned that the leak has been there for a while

Any feedback on this one

The best I can suggest is searching through the warranty sub-forum, checking the suspension/drivetrain sub-forum, and, failing that, a search of the whole site.

If that still doesn't turn up anything, you can check another Canadian site here:
http://www.toronto-subaru-club.com

If that still doesn't help you, it is likely that this really isn't a common problem on the STis.

Regards.
