06 Engine Mount

I know that the 2006 STI's come with a liquid filled engine mount for a "smoother ride" but I have heard that they break. Has Subaru made this into a recall yet? or do you just have to buy an 04/05 metal mount?

I know there has been talk about it being under warranty, but I am talking about a recall where it would be replaced before it breaks.

i just posted about that also today .. So far there is no real recall yet .. Also i went to the dealership 3 days ago and spoke to them about this and the guy bets that the 06 engine mounts are not plastic and wanted to make a bet with me .. And he was the tech at Subaru .. But i don't know yet i still have to get under my car and look

is he a retard?? he gets paid to work there?? unless your sti is made this year or so, it's plastic

alrighty .. u can think that .. he knows ben the admin here very well ...... but then why dont you come here and make him the bet he works on the cars day in and day out .. And mabey they do but i still have to look for my self .. And so far they have not had any broken motor mounts come in to that shop they said so ...

just go under your car and see if your 06 is plastic mounted or not..(mine's plastic and it was built last year) subaru totally changed the parts number to 04-05 motor mounts for 06 now though
