LOL! Grow up man. Do you realize that by having neons on an already very noticable car (esp. to the police), you are making it about twice as much as a stand-out. Adding a loud system makes matters even worse for probable cause.

Just take this as tough love/advice...neons aren't cool, they never were cool (unless you want to join the civic/scion club). This isnt a low-blow to your personal taste, just a suggestion for change. Spend your money elsewhere on the car, suspension, drivetrain , etc. You can't come to this forum with such a short fuse and expect questionable hack job mods to be welcomed.

P.S. If i was a subaru tech, I would proudly not grant warranty work on a car thats having "problems" after seeing:

Whatever happened to accountability? If you don't have the $$$ to fix what you broke, don't mod. Ultimately it is up to SOA to deny your warranty coverage, not the dealer. You could request to meet with a SOA representative, but you'd be shot down in a heartbeat with all that crap you did to your car.

It's gonna be interesting when he tears that engine down considering his "warmup" technique. Hint for you, it's not a good idea to hold the car at 4k with cold oil. At least he has access to one of the best tuners in the country if he needs it, not that he would listen to what pdx recommends anyway.

I bought used. And I would do it again, especially with the knowledge i have now. I got pretty screwed over with my STi, turns out the previous owner had modded the car and brought it back to stock...somewhat. Subaru discovered some stuff about my car that neither me or my dealership knew about...so they went ahead and voided my warranty. Im not completely cool with that because they voided the whole thing, to me thats not very fair. I would understand them voiding the warranty on the parts they find suspecious but voiding everything on the car seems a little harsh.

I have learned with time that subaru has a "give us a reason to void your warranty" attitude. I would understand if someone shows up with a heavily modded vehicle, but my car is completely stock, my ecu has spliced wires because the previous owner probably had a boost controler installed, i would understand they deny my claim if i had ecu related problems, but right now they wont service my ****ty clunky rear struts because my car has no warranty. total crap if u ask me.

Well I guess the shift light is in fact hooked up to a coil pack to make it work... so I guess if it is working then Subaru has every right to say the driveability warranty is voided

On a side note if you wanted to install a shift light or tach on a coil pack ignition vehicle don't you need some sort of tach signal convertor?

in my experience, it's not even worth the time having them replace the struts. The clunking will most likely return. KYB has had over 7 years to fix the problem and it's still there. Save up for some other suspension or spray the rears down with Tri-flow regularly and that should keep the noise down assuming nothing is loose back there.

my suby dealership told me they wont warrenty my car any more because of strut bars, a system, and neons. which is complete bull****. what do you guys suggest i do to fight for my warrenty? thanks
with all due respect, you've got as much right to warranty coverage as i do. i just came back from your site. your interior shot looks a lot like mine and subaru won't be seeing me for electrical or any other warranty work any time soon.

let me add that your attitude leaves a lot to be desired. you might want to tidy it up before asking for help. sure, you were attacked for the neons, but then again, who deserves ribbing for that more than you.

yeah good point. I heard that they have solved the issue with the new replacements though. The way things are going with subaru i dont think ill be replacing them with other oem ones though. if i have to pay for new struts ide rather go aftermarket. or maybe get them used with a set of new springs.

my god you guys are dumb lol you actually think i took my car to the shop looking like that? have you ever heard of pics of progress? you cant just get a part and have it magically installed with out tearing the car apart. now i had to install 4 door speakers, tweeters, deck, amp, sub, front and rear struts, lowering springs, shift light, the neons under the dash and rear seat and the underglow. and i got it all at once so i did it all at once and i made it easy on my self i stripped the car. so it doesnt look that crappy now. i dont think anyone is that retarded ****. use your head. now we had no problems untill you guys starting telling me to change my taste. ok neons arnt exactly my fav mod either but you have no room to tell me to change. and 2nd i cant take them off, sponsors sent them to me then they are going on, because i want more free ****. so drop the neons. as for my wiring, when im done my wiring matches like factory you cant tell the difference. the shift light was not hooked up to the ecu when i took the car in. my amp power runs straight off the bat like it should so they cant get me there, and my under glow also runs from the bat to its own fuse box and then out to the lights. the interior neons run power from the ignition, so if my ignition goes i guess they can get me there. the struts and springs, have nothing to do with electrical. and the purge kit doesnt do anything with electrical either. by the way yes its nitrous but i havnt put in actually into the engine yet. im suppose to but i dont want to ruin my engine like that, so i have it set up so all it does is purge. they have nothing on me except my ignition. the car looks stock inside again except a deck, and a shift light mounted to the dash. its even just as clean as the day i bought it. when i brought it to them only thing that was apart was the plastic around the gauges was off and the 3 shift light wires where still just hanging down not plugged in to anything. but i got the info i needed thank you. ill be sure to take that to my dealer and fight for my warrenty, because its already been in the shop 3 times for this same problem every time and this car isnt even a month old. so ill deff be looking into that lemon law too.

heres pictures from today, now you can quit worrying like i said it looks fine.

like i said its all clean you dont see any more wires. the wires behind it look just as stock as it can. my step dad does this for a living for custom work trucks. his wiring has to look stock/factory and ive learned from him. not trying to brag or anything but my wiring is prob better than anyones here unless someone here is an electrition lol.

so thank you to those of you who actually helped. ive got some grounds to stand on now. appreciate that. thanks guys

So you hooked that shift light to the ecu? That could be your issue, and yes that voided the warranty on the ecu...
