Default 30k service $200 yeha

Called dealer where I bought my car they said $500. Called second dealer just to see what they would say. $200 for both diffs/tranny, brake fluid change, coolant change, and belt checks. I told them no oil change, tire rotation, spark plugs, or windshield wipers. I am so glad I called around. Neil Huffman Subaru FTW!

Well after dropping it off, they called me up and told me that they had misquoted me for the rear diff fluid change since it uses the lsd fluid and that it alone was $50. However, because it was their mistake he discounted the total job so the total job after tax was $243. Still pretty cheap for coolant change, brake fluid change, tranny fluid change, both diff fluid change, and the various other belt checks and things. Just lett'n ya know

$243 isn't to bad..............but I'd take it to a reputable independant shop for that kind of work.............just let the dealer do the free stuff.

Ya that info isn't sti specific.

They did all the STI 30k service stuff minus the stuff I previously stated. Found out they are a mod friendly dealer, and they are the most reputable since there are no local shops that have worked on more than one or two subarus. So 243 is the best your going to get around here unless you want to take your chances with a local shop, DIY,or drive 100+ miles to a suby shop. So I guess a can check off all those things.

Also they turned it around in 2 hours while I was at work. Neil Huffman FTW!
