Default Is it worth it?

I'm running a full catless TBE and also experiencing the classic clunking associated with the rear struts in the 04 STi. Here is my question.

I'm currently living 300 miles away from home (and my stock exhaust components) but I want to get the struts replaced...

Do I take the car in as is and risk denial of claims, a little red mark on my file etc... OR do I wait a couple months, drive home, swap the stock exhaust back on??

Thanks for the input

300 miles isn't that far for peace of mind, but I don't change my exhaust when I go to my dealer. Hell, I bought my catless dp from a tech there!

our cars are notorious for strut clunk. Jack the rear up, put a little lube on the strut shaft, and call it a day. Why drive 300 miles away to replace a strut that will most likely clunk later on down the road, when it takes all of 10-15 minutes to lube the strut...
