The stock oil isn't synthetic, it's dino oil or whatever the hell Subaru put in there.

run on thicker synthetic oil, such as Mercedez Benz, but no an STi.

Not surprised that happened, the factory oil got thinner and thinner, lost it's

Oil longevity isn't the issue here, keeping oil in the car is.

Same here. I change my STi's oil every 3 months since I never get 3000 miles in 3 months. However for my 530xi, the oil interval is 15,000 miles. Before the 530xi, my 325Cic went in for two oil changes and I drove it for 42,800 miles.

I just took my car in to get it's alignment done.. with a discount at that.. freakin nice. but then I was chatting with the Tech after he was done and I asked him about the black STi out on the lot and he said it was tore apart on his bench right now. I asked why and he said the kid that had it didnt change the oil for 16,000 miles!!! He bought it new and never changed it. I have to agree that his parents need to be slapped as well as him. If they paid that much for a car then they should keep him on his toes on all maintanence.........And no he does not deserve to have such nice car as an STI...........REDECULIOUS
