The stock oil isn't synthetic, it's dino oil or whatever the hell Subaru put in there.

16,000........

That guy probably shouldn't own this car, if he can't even read his owner manual.........

The kid with the STi however, is a tard.
It's not because they are German cars, it's because the engine was designed to

run on thicker synthetic oil, such as Mercedez Benz, but no an STi.

Not surprised that happened, the factory oil got thinner and thinner, lost it's

ability to lubricate, that's bye bye turbo bearing........

Oil longevity isn't the issue here, keeping oil in the car is.
Have to disagree on that, a new STi shouldn't lose any oil if you break it in correctly, at least mine didn't.....

Same here. I change my STi's oil every 3 months since I never get 3000 miles in 3 months. However for my 530xi, the oil interval is 15,000 miles. Before the 530xi, my 325Cic went in for two oil changes and I drove it for 42,800 miles.

maybe he misread the oil change sticker and thought it said 16,000 instead of 6,000

I asked why and he said the kid that had it didnt change the oil for 16,000 miles!!! He bought it new and never changed it. He needs a new block, turbo and I believe Cams. $6000 in parts and $11,000 total after Labor. I told the tech not to give him his car back because he doesnt deserve it.. I dont understand people.
The parents should be slapped too!

He has to be an idiot...........I have got a plan that pays for my oil changes on my 06 and its for every 3,500 miles and I don't even like waiting an extra 500 miles..........

I have to agree that his parents need to be slapped as well as him. If they paid that much for a car then they should keep him on his toes on all maintanence.........And no he does not deserve to have such nice car as an STI...........REDECULIOUS
