I've already had mine replaced once. Had a bad grind at 3500. They turned the rotors at 4000, and I got new pads at 4500.

Freakin' great stuff right there.

my pads are gonna be gone in a few thousand miles...I've been wondering if I want to replace them under warranty or go with the Hawk HPS pads. I want nothing to do with the brake dust from the stock pads anymore though...

I hear ya there, I can't say I enjoy that AT ALL.

I heard from a guy at a detail shop that if you clean your wheels with "Mop'n'Glow" the dust won't stick to them as much. Haven't tested this theory yet.

get hawk pads, you jsut get less brake dust and better braking. and its only like 150 for front and rear.
get the stage 2 kit from cvr, which includes front/rear hawk hps pads, motul fluids, goodridge ss brake line for 270 i believe. good deal

just took my car in for service at the dealer n asked them about brake pads under warrenty....

the services mgr said yes.... pads are covered as long as ur car is under 36k miles, no hot spots, no sign of brake-related mods, and it has about 1mm left on ur pads... THEN its covered

Did the same with my old 05 WRB car, but the difference is when I was waiting to get my pads done they made me a better deal on an 05 CGM and I ended up trading my old car for a whole new car instead of getting new pads. Don't ask me how they worked the deal that they did for me but they did it.

Lowered my interest payments and walked out owing the same amount. Don't know why they did it the only thing I can figure is for volume. Saw my old car at the track a month later it sold the day after I traded it in just like the sales guy said it would, he said people go crazy over used STi's.

I brought my car to the dealership in hopes of having them replace the pads under warranty since I'm on the verge of hitting 36K in a few miles.

I have 1mm to wear. I'm less than 15 miles away from hitting 36K. They won't do anything.

Oh well.
