Red face Maintence costs?

so how do you guys deal with the maintence costs? so far look at some of them...the more expensive things seem to be brake rotor replacement being $400/pair and the timing belt being about $250....whats the deal with the timing belt being sooo expensive? lol i didnt realize how much some of the maintenence was until i saw it...but thats what happens when u buy a high performance car

It actually isn't that bad if you do most of the stuff yourself, like the oil change's and the 30,000 service. Brakes pads aren't bad to do and after market ones do save you some money.

The timing belt, I don't have the balls to change on my own. It is a critical part of the car, if that sucker breaks chances are you are going to be putting in a new motor. That is why that costs so much from the deal, they know you have to do it.

Highest maintenance cost parts...

Synthetic oil ($38 per change)
Filter $8 per
Cabin air filter (every 7,500 miles, $62)
Air intake filter $50 something

For brake pads, go aftermarket, cheaper and better performing than the stock Brembo pads ($180 for a pair of front Ferodo DS2500)

The timing belt needs to be changed every 100k, right?

That isn't so bad, it's the same with every other car that has a belt and not a chain. At least it doesn't look like it's all that difficult to get to, unlike the timing belt on an EVO.

Our Brembos are silly easy to work with. It takes more time to take the wheel off than it does to actually change the pads. I haven't removed the rotors yet, but I can't imagine that it's more than two bolts to pull the calipers off.
