Just a little n00b math, and I'm sure to be corrected if I'm wrong, but you need ramps that support the total weight of the car with fluids in it. Unless your fluids weigh 500 lbs, the 2 ton should do the job, but why not buy the 3 ton just to be safe? I mean, you never know...

Does anyone know if the Fumoto valve with nipple will fit on an STI that has a RallyArmor skid plate?

Thanks

I cannot find the thread with the low profile ramps at all and need a set of low profile ones now. I did however find these other low profile ramps. With my pinks and v limited lip, my Rhino ramps just don't cut it. Anyone have any info on these? http://www.ramps.biz/car-service-ramp.htm

If you set a 2' or so piece of 2x6 lumber in front of the Rino Ramp, it will usually give the car enough of a boost befroe the lip gets to the incline of the ramp. Just make sure to have it there when you roll off. I would try that before buying a new set of ramps.

I was thinking of getting the fumoto and using some larger tubing to get the same effect you get with the nipple. I think if you got it on there snug enough you wouldn't get oil leaking everywhere.

I have fumotos on all 3 cars, and my only regret is not getting the nipple version. You cant really slip a piece of hose over the whole thing beacause the valve is in the way. Not to mention it's a square. You have to cut a notch in the hose to slide it on, and then it doesn't fit tight. Have a look at the pictures earlier in this thread of the fumoto and this may make more sense. What I do now is use a 1 gallon water bottle (not a milk jug, but a water bottle that seals tight with the lid) and then take a 2L soda bottle and cut the bottom off to make a big funnel. If you do this right, it will fit over the entire valve, and everything is completely disposable. Oil goes into the recyle bin, and I don't have to clean anything, and I don't spill a drop. As for the oil filter I double up a few plastic grocery bags, put some paper towels in the bottom, and use this to twist off the oil filter. All the oil goes into the bags with the paper towels. My first oil change looked like the Exxon Valdez hit my garage, now it is simple, quick, and mess free.
