Stone reliable after all this time since getting it.
Thing is I have 650 miles heh...no squeaks not the slightest complaint and I am the type of idiot who goes looking for trouble I suppose I'll be a benchmark towards reliablility of the car in about 10,000 miles(which will be flying onto the car once summer comes)

15,000km, only had the rear diff seals replaced. Although i think something else is wrong now, it's making a rattling noise. Workshop told me it's the wheel bearings, someone else told me it's the cv joints..Quite frankly the car makes A LOT of noises, and i honestly don't know what's normal and what's abnormal. Other than that, she's been running flawlessly.

Our old 2002 WRX Sedan had no problems what so ever all the way up until the day we sold it. Great build quality, great car. It had 103,000km on it when we sold it (63.963 miles). This is why I am sticking to Subaru.

I read most of the posts in this thread and would like to add additional thought:

One quick review of the posted pictures / injuries from accidents shows the STi is very reliable with your life. Personally, I have not been in an accident. I have, however, had the pleasure of extreme breaking and swirving to save the occupants in my vehical from other drivers. I had THREE instances last night where people ran red lights while turning left and nearly t-boned me... each time saved by the breaking power/sticky tires and the firm seatbelt restraints. Could another car do that? Sure... but it's nice to know YOUR car can too.

I couldn't imagine what is causing the problem.

When in doubt, always check the flux capacitor I suppose.

I had the rubber driver's windowtop moulding come loose,
I stuck it back in place, it stays in place.

If I was short and didn't bang my head on this moulding when getting
into the car, would not be an issue.

Also the strap that holds the gas cap gets stiff at 10 F so I can't balance
the cap on the fuel door when refueling.

16,000 miles, 9 months.
