All of you that you are close or have more than 100K do you still have the VF39 turbo that came with the car?

Wow thats pretty darn good. I am sure the car will just run as strong as it came off the show room, if not stronger. I am impressed with the Subaru reliability.

imo this is why subaru fans are so rabid

we get performance, power, and durability for a low price

me and my entire family own subarus:
mom n pop-outback wagon
sister-impreza outback
me-several 2.5rs and now sti

i have convinced 5 of my friends to get subaru's
(3 wrx wagons, 1 outback and 1 2.5rs)

no problems EVER

...well my sti does eat tires, brakepads, and gas like no other... hmmm
maybe ill take it to the dealer

dealer: (points at turbo) see thats your problem right there.

05 STi, just under 12.7k.

The only warranty work I've had done is replacing the clip that holds the floor mat down under the driver seat. It broke off after ~9k miles.

The only other real problem I have is that the sound from the stock speakers seem to go out intermittently. See this thread for more info:

No sound from stock stereo - intermittent problem

Overall, very satisfied with the purchase.

Closing in on 47k miles...ZERO problems. Replaced the stocker tires at 37k miles and had the struts replaced after they were mistakenly ruled bad...it was found out during the replacement that a large rock had actually embedded itself inside one of the struts and was causing the tick/clunk...still got new struts out of it anyhow!!!! So basically...NO problems...still on stock brakes and have 50% of them left!!! This has been THE most trouble free car I have EVER owned!

65k no problems. At 29k I was at 340wtq, at 55k I went to 370wtq. My gearbox is going strong, although I did have to get a new clutch.

51,xxx miles. Neutral safety switch for cruise cont. had to be replaced. Other than than, just routine stuff (oil) and wear items (brakes, tires). I love this thing!

36k miles and still going strong. Used Cobb stage 2 after 10k and upgraded to SZ49 for the last 2k miles. I have been driving my car hard since I got it with a few track runs and had no problems yet.

About 29k on my '05--rearview mirror (autodimming/compass) rattles a lot, back seat rattles, spoiler gasket poking out from under it.

Blew one of the stocker tires at 27k, so I replaced them all, they were probably only 60% gone, though. Everything else is stock except TiC bushings and added the OEM hood/bug guard.
