Just broke my mounts, dealer says they're replacing with same old '06 mounts. Also said they think in the near future SOA will claim broken mounts are due to abuse and not cover replacement since the same mounts are found in a couple other Subarus. The dealer also said that was stupid and they should go back to the '05 mounts, but what can they do?

the dealerships are not supposed to be putting the same 06 mounts back in when they break. they are putting the mounts from the 05's but in order to do that they also have to order the mounting brackets from the 05. they have been on back order for weeks, mine just came in the beginning of this week and my car is in the shop today and tomorrow.

I think you should go to another dealer. We've been replacing 06 mounts with 05's since they started braking. AS PER SOA

yes sir, i went to a good dealer and the left mount was broken, so they are replacing with 05s if your car is pulling you might have a mount that is broken, and they are composite so they can break from normal driving, everything is fine and im very happy subaru for rectifying the problem quickly. . anyone who has an 06 sti should get this checked out. . thanks for everyones help
