| Authorized Vendor | I believe it is covered in your 3/36K bumper to bumper warranty, and even states them specifically. Do a search for rexygirl on nasioc as she's posted the pertinent information a few times that I have seen. |

| Silver Member | My car is going in for one last check up at before 36K. I asked them to replace anything they can before it clicks over. I wonder if they will replace the brakes or not. I don't care either way. But yes, they will replace the brakes |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | I had my brakes checked at 34,000 miles and didn't believe the dealership when they said I still had 45% wear left in the fronts. I took the pads off at 58,000 and still had enough pad material to last a minimum of 4,000. I now have Hawk HPS on all four, and they still look new. Remind me again what brakes are for? |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | ^^^^ Me too. I took the STi in to the dealer to have the brakes checked / replaced last week. After waiting 1.5 DAYS I was informed they do not need to be changed. I was not told how much "life" was left on the pads. Point of interest: I purposly did not clean the dust off the wheels to verify the system was checked (there is a horrible screech from the left front brake only). Upon receiving my car, after being told the brakes were A-OK, I gave her the once over walk-around. To my surprise, the dust on the wheels was untouched! It was obvious the pads / system was not checked per MY request. Did I mention is was there for 1.5 days? Sure enough, I received a phone call from SOA Monday of this week asking for my review of the "warrantee work" completed on the STi. I was very happy to explain to the rep. that nothing was done. She was speachless....I hope you have better luck than I do. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
