Default Some dealers should just be slapped!!

Ok so I take my car to the dealer today due to a bad syncro in fourth gear. My car is stock *wink* so I figure there should be a problem.

After waiting an hour they come out and tell me that there is a problem with the transmision. I am thinking "no...really??"

So the tech says that he needs me to leave it there over night so that he can check it out first thing cold in the morning.

No problem I say, and I get a ride and leave.

About 2 hours later the service manager calls me. He says "You car has an internal transmision problem and we can't fix it!"

I replyed what do you mean you can't fix it.

He says "you car has a specialty tranny, and needs to go to a specialty transmision shop for repair".

I was like "specialty transmision shop..they don't do warranty work, you are a subaru dealer, that is the stock transmision that comes in a stock subaru, there is nothing specialty about it"

He advised me to get another dealer to work on the car as they would not touch the car, and I needed to take it someplace else.

I asked if it was warrantied, he replied "yes it is totally under the Subaru warranty, but we WILL NOT work on it.

I almost slapped the guy. I tell you what. I asked him if he had any suggestions as to what dealership I should go to..he replied "Anyplace but here"

I couldn't believe it.

Anyway, I called SOA, and the guy was PISSED..he asked for the persons name that I talked to, and the dealership name, and told me he was going to have his manager call them imediately! Told me not to pick up my car, or contact them untill I heard from him.

Some dealerships think they can feed a line of bull to anyone, and get away with it, its rediculous.

O yeah, and he also told me that if I had a K&N filter it voided warranty. I was like WHAT..you have to be kidding me.

Wow..ok I am done bit*hing.

HAha, see things will get worked out. They already told you it would be covered under warranty!

Some dealerships just dont have the right people for some types of jobs.

seriously, is there any way that a K&N filter could void factory warranty?

I dont think so, they would have to prove that the K&N filter broke your tranny= impossible

When I was having a boost problem I went through 2 dealerships before I could find one that would work on my car. A lot of them just want to change oil in 20 min. and get 30-40 dollars for it and bring in the next car. Lots of bull$hit is what I've been through.

I sure wouldn't want them working on the car after they said they couldn't do it, and then got chewed out by SOA....

The dealer can claim pretty much anything will void the warranty if they want to be a PITA. But you should be able to work it out through SOA, I doubt they would uphold that claim.

I creep up to 22-23psi when its like 20 degrees and below..

Today was 40 and I had hit 20psi. No fuel cut or anything

On days that its very cold , 20 and below, I creep up to 23psi and hit fuel cut if I start at low rpms in 5th or even 6th gear!!

Sometimes a protune will help, sometimes it wont. Next thing to do is to port the wastegate!

All i am saying is dont think that a protune will garentee no creep, each car is different.

I forgot to mention that when you run the Cobb AP on the Stage 2 OTS map, my creep and fuel cut issues went away.

Clogged Catalytic converters,
cause=
When I had more car detailed the moron sprayed Armor All onto my K&N SRI which then covered the MAF sensor which then caused the car to run really rich.

Cicio I wouldn't bring my car back after SOA yelled at them. I just dont trust dealerships at all now.
