Default Clogged catylic converter= 9.3 psi {pg2}

I have three Defi Gauges in my STi, Boost, Oil Temp. and Exhaust Temp.,

Im bringing my car into the dealership tomorrow to get checked out because it is not getting full boost, on the phone they kept warning me by saying if it has any aftermarket parts in it that they cannot touch it. Are my Defi Gauges considered a threat to my cars warranty? Thats all I have installed in the car at the moment.

All answers are greatly appreciated.

i would say no, but the only thing i can think of...you have a boost gauge and you are not getting full boost, has it been like that since you installed it or before that, or long after? maybe leaking?

The car feels the same since the 1st day I owned it. It never had a boost gauge until the I put the Defi one in. I flashed the ECU to Stage 1 with my AP and I still only got 9.3 PSi. So i put the ECU back to stock until I resolve this problem.

Also, I've never driven any other STi, so I really wouldn't know the difference, which is why the boost gauge is the 1st sign that my STi is losing power.

no shouldnt be an issue, as they come with gauges from the factory sometimes.

Default only 9.3 PSi stock and Stg. 1

OMFG!! I have to go back to the first dealership because the Dealership in middletown, NY (Feders Subaru) does not want to work on my STi because it will be too big of a project for them. I asked them to Pressure test the system and check if the inlet hose to the Turbo is cracked. They said I should bring it back down to Bill Kolb Subaru on Rte. 303 in Orangeburg, because they have a lot more Techs. and more experience with working on a STi.
To me this is getting out of hand, all these dealerships are about 45min away and only open 8-5, M-F and im gonna have to go into work late for the the 3rf time in a week and a half.

WTH should I say to the service people at Bill Kolb if they cannot resolve the problem, because all they keep doing is threatening me by saying if there is no problem found you will have to pay for our Tech.'s time which is $89 an hour.

I know there is a problem somewhere under that hood
Its just hard to explain to them because I do not think I can tell them I flashed to Stage 1 and only saw 9.3 PSi and then put it back to stock and still only get 9.3 PSi.

Help please.. .. .. ..

trust me, if they are telling u to go to another dealership, do it. I sat there 4 months while some incompetant dealership worked on my car. at the end of the day i still had to go to another place...dont waste ure time and go to the other dealership.

regarding ure boost. are u sure ure hoses are capped? make sure there is no leak and the hoses are capped where they should be. I know i wasnt getting full boost because there was a cap missing and my hoses where leaking boost. so they just tightened everything double checked the hoses and the car boost as much as it should now...and trust me its a great feeling to feel it boost properly. best of luck to u, dont hesitate to ask if u have any other questions.

it shouldn't in actuality, but some dealers have a tendency to be stupid about mods. it sucks to say, but they can pretty much do what they want and make you have to fight them.....costing you money and time. if they give you problems about it, try another dealership. my dealership in nashville is like that, so i just chose to deal w/ another one, even though its 40 miles away. since i work at a dealer, i know that they can get away w/ murder....the only down side to it is that you lose customers like that

If the dealer is talking like that I would not go in unprepared. Do some searches on the "Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act" and read as much as you can. I would also have Subaru of America set up the appointment for you. Tell them you are not impressed that one dealer sent you to antother and you want to make sure your next visit goes better.

bs. feder's works on sti's all the time.

feder's will punk under the pressure of someone who knows the federal law. bring it with you and tell the nice lady at the counter that your not leaving until they schedule it in. if it's a mechanical issue they own it. if it's the ecu, you own it as long as ap is on it.

did you try unmarrying your ecu and then checking boost to see if it returned to stock levels? make sure you unmarry your ecu before you bring it in. good luck.

damn bruce, yalls dealership sounds like mine, lol! been trying to get my d**n wipers replace under warranty for like 5 months now. its a wear item, and the car was under the 10-12 required for those items, they keep putting it off and saying they gotta get approval to replace some stupid wipers. i finally called their bluff and got soa involved and they are finally ordered. the funny thing is that i work at a dealership and its hilarious that they don't have wipers to fit all the products they sell i'm to the point to where i have to take time off work to goto another dealership 40 min or more away just to get stupid little warranty work done. sorry to vent, just hate my dealer.
