Yes, I found this problem when it was stock, then I tryed to run it in Stage 1 to see if it was just the ECU holding it back, it remained the same. Now its back to stock still with the same problem
Im going to bring it back to Bill Kolb Subaru this monday at 8am where I bought it from and refuse to leave until they fix this $hit.

Heh, you might want to consider them giving you more problems over your other mods other than your DEFI gauges... those listed in your sig.

On now:K&N Typhoon Intake<>Pink i Badge<>Defi's EGT,Boost,Oil Temp.<>Cusco Sway Bar
To be installed: GF210's<> Helix DP<>Cobb AP<>Kartboy SS

I forgot, the car is basically stock right now except for the Defi's. When I first encountered this boost problem the 1st thing I did was take out the K&N Typhoon intake and Reset the ECU.

hmmm.. i've heard some not too good things about the Bil Kolb dealership. if they blame the problem on the boost gauge, tell them to prove it because if they can't, they can't void your warranty.

Check out this link and go into the dealership armed with code provisions and they will buckle under the pressure:

Default Still only 9.3psi

Well, my car has been at the dealer for three days now and they havent done much yet to find my boost problem I call them twice a day so far and I basically get the same answer, that, they have been trying to call the orignal owner, (I bought the car with 1400miles on it), because they think that they messed around with my ECM (engine control module) and that is supposely messing up my boost, and that they have been trying to contact Subaru themselves to see what to do.
Question:

I flashed my ECU with my accessport to stage 1 and still got 9.3psi, would that prove that it isnt my ECM and that the problem is of a mechanical nature and not electronic? Or does the Accessport only flash the ECU and leaves the ECM alone?

-all help is greatly appreciated_______Joe

Did the original owner change the size of the vaccuum lines or such? Is everything underthere stock? It may look it, but is it really?

i dont like feder's subaru. i went there to check out for an STi and they basically fanned me away with crazy high payment numbers, and it seemed like they didnt want my business.

i go to school right next to bill kolb. i dont like them either. i was suppose to buy my STi from them, they promised me a white STi, and when i gave my deposit, they couldnt back themselves up, so i withdrew my deposit and went to liberty subaru in jersey.

i bring my STi to bill kolb's for oil changes and stuff, but i knew people that work there and i would just suggest bringing it somewhere else.

i pretty much hate NY car dealerships.

Default Cure??

Ok, I think my dilema might be over, they finally got in contact with the orignal owner today, he confirmed that there was some aftermarket parts in the car, as of now I do not know what exactly.

But......

They took apart the exhaust system and found that both Catalytic Converters where clogged up, thus causing not enough exhaust flow, which then caused the lack of BOOST!
Now, should I be worried at all about this cars engine being all carboned up?
Do you think the previous owner had $hitty parts in the car?
