Default Hard start when cold?

Does anyone here have any experience with their car not starting right away when it's cold out? (30 degrees or below). I've had to keep turning the key several times and pump the gas twice now on separate occasions to get my STi to start up. First time I was stock except a k&n panel filter and the second time was tonight right after installing the Typhoon. Anything I can check for?

Thanks

You did clear the ecu after the typhoon right? If so my experience after an ecu reset is that it takes a few seconds to figure out whats what after the reset. On another note my car had crazy problems staying running initially after installing the typhoon. I did a another reset and let it idle for 5 minutes or so and then strolled around the block a few times, after I was pretty sure it would not stall out again I took it out on the freeway to see how she would do. No problems starting her up either, the display this morning reported 22 F outside and it fired right up.

Edit: Should this not be under Engine, Power & Performance?

Here in the midwest we're seeing single digits during the day and subzero temps at night ... my garage stays at around 25-30F and, with the stock battery, my car fires right away.

At work it sits for 8hours a day outside and it starts normally...

Same conditions as Rev here in Ohio and no problems.

Pumping the gas in a fuel injected car doesn't do anything. On a car with a carburetor, when you press the gas you are setting the choke butterflies and actuating the accelerator pump to send fuel down the venturi. Fuel injection does not work like that.

Yup, I cleared the ECU for the install. It fired up this morning fine. If it wouldn't have happened before when I was stock I wouldn't have thought twice about it this time. Ah well, guess it's just a gremlin with the car, just like the rear door windows that won't defog.

Thanks guys
