How many miles do you have? My clutch just started sqeaking also. It feels normal with a sqeak. Why would they have to replace it?

I have ~17k miles.
I, as a customer, am not really satisfied with the annoying noise. I didn't request that, but he said it, I wouldn't mind a new one.
Maybe they said it just to kick me out of the door, though.

I have the sqeaky clutch also. It only happens when the car gets really warm. It will then squeak when depressing the clutch and it feels like it's binding. Lubing it up won't fix the problem....didn't even slow it down in my case.

It's going in on the November 7th to get the clutch replaced.

wow i have had the squeaky clutch problem for over 15 months now (when my car had about 8,000 miles) and I never thought it was a problem. Yet I've noticed that more and more my clutch seems to be sticking or acting weird... something's not right. Guess I should take it in... let me know what you guys think.

oh by the way, I have had squeaks from the clutch pedal and when the car is warm, from the clutch too...

check it, i have 05 sti and my VIN number falls under 515611.
i did have this problem when i first got the car. it seems like everyone else in the world with sti has/had them. Now i have 25000 miles on my car and the sound is gone. i probably didn't hear the sound since first 10000 miles.

Well the sound is gone, and i really don't have problem with my tranny or engine. so is it worth it to take my car to dealer and go through the hassle, plus not having your car for while? i can't even proove my dealer that sound is there. so what should i do?
