Question warranty extension Q

so my just recently acquired 04 sti is going tomorrow for its 30K mile service.... getting everything done that subaru 'recommends' except spark plugs. is there a way of extending my warranty, and if there is, does it cover everything that this normal (under 36,000mile warranty) warranty covers?

pics are coming soon, its just down here in florida we've had alot of rain... so that pisses me off....

Alex

I just spoke to my dealer about a month ago about this.
You can get an extended warentee as long as you are still under your factory warentee.

I was quoted.....$900 for a 6year 60K bumper to bumper as long as I purchased it before I hit 20K miles.

After 20K....$1100.

Not sure. What are you doing with the car? Selling or trading. It will help resale if the car has a warranty. It should be transferable. They are pretty complicated cares and expensive to fix. They are however pretty reliable.

I got an extended warranty (04 STi) due to the DCCD, mainly. I figued it would be way expensive to fix if it went out, and since it was a "first model year" thingie, I thought it smart. The oil changes and scheduled services alone nearly cover the cost (or do they cover them completely??)
