Red face use the other key

Try using your other key to startup, it is probably the imobilizer chip in the key. When i took it to the dealer, the computer said my key was invalid. I have been using the other key for a week and have not seen anything.

Lets see if it happens again :-/

good news.. its been like 2 weeks without any problems. My car is starting fine everytime now with the other key.

I guess it was the key. :-)
But I'll let you all know if it happens again.

The said they will fix the key, I've just been lazy about it and not taken it in.
But next time I go to get service or something, I'll get it :-)

I've had the occasional problem where the key will physically not turn. I have to turn the steering wheel (left or right, doesn't matter) and the key then turns. I have never experienced this with any other car before. No big deal really, but until I figured out to turn the steering wheel, it used to piss me off.

yeah that is a normal operation, security, so when the key is out of the ignition the steering wheel won't turn. sometimes requires a nudge to the left or right to release.

For the OP, don't forget to get that key replaced while you still are under warranty. Those keys are expensive and you don't want to have to pay for one if you do not need to.
