| STI Driver Car: 05 Blue STI Fav Mod: -10 degree C Ambient Air.. :) Still under warranty! Location: Illinois Posts: 230
IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | Driving this morning, my electrical system cut out, and it was possible the battery took over, but there was a 1 second delay before the dash lights came back on, the abs light came on solid, then another "Relay" sound, and the whole dash flashed and the ABS light went out, and I was still driving. This happened several times. Could this be a bad voltage regulator? Wouldn't the battery take over in that case? It's a braille battery with about 680amps and 1100CCA. Had it for 6 months and through the winter. Am I completely off base thinking it could be that the VR is going bad and the battery can't back it up enough? Or is it a more sinister computer issue? This was very unsettling. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. Last edited by xSTIx; 07-10-2008 at 08:58 AM. |
