IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | this whole thing sucks.i think im starting to take the stand point that i dont give a crap about the warranty,if this is the stance they are starting to take.what really pisses me off is that subie has you come in for major warranty work first thing you are forced to do before they will even touch you car is sign away you rights.most people sign of course thinkin my cars totally stock sure their gonna warranty it.then once your car is ripped apart at the dealer they pull that fu#king document out that you signed and say some sh!t like your tires are worn, and your clutch is too glazey.WTFF GTFOOH WTS.THEN OUT COMES THE NEXT DOCUMENT THAT YOU SIGN AGREEING TO 8-10K OF REPAIRS BEFORE YOU CAN HAVE YOU CAR BACK,MEANWHILE YOUR MONTHLY STATEMENTS JUST KEEP ROLLING IN.....THIS SOUNDS MORE LIKE ORGANIZED CRIME,....AND EXTORTION....I love my sti but im growing to HATE soa and the dealers, and i hope to god one of those greasy executive farts is in his office reading my post This ad is not endorsed by this member. IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | You would've known if you read my first post. In my case it was VERY rough idle and Check Engine light +blinking cruise. When you scan the code it's 304 - Missfire in cylinder #4. Next time read first. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | The stealership called me today and left a voicemail that it will cost me like $4.5k to have the car fixed or $950 if I just want to pick it up as is with motor taken out. I'm not paying either because I didn't sign nothing. Plus I still didn't get written decision so for me my warranty case is still not finnished. I have something going on here, but don't want to say nothing until it works. BTW: I wonder if somebody ever made like a list of all 07 owners with blown motors. Just an idea but if we got like several people we could split arbitration costs among us. I'm also doing a little research on class action lawsuit. Wonder if there would be people willing to participate. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | If you seek the legal route, you are probably best off going at it solo with a lawyer that is willing to be paid only by the win of the claim. Make sure you write in enough to cover your cost of repair, travel, trouble, and/or new car. You should at least consult a lawyer to see if you have a chance of winning the case. The only reason I say solo is so that the defending party (SoA) can't lull the process by looking at each individual car and/or party making the claim. You should also expect a year long process (or greater). Find a lawyer that is straight forward. If they come off like a used car salesman, go elsewhere. It's unfortunate to hear of these SoA blown motor cases. I've yet to see one that was actually covered under warranty. Has anyone else? If not, it sounds like we are better off buying a short block instead of having a Subaru dealership repair it at that ridiculous cost. A short block runs $2,000 ish. Then replace the pistons with ones that are not pos. Crawford or Perrin like-stock pistons. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | Worn tires was the most ridiculous and outrageous reason. You could've had a second set of stock wheels/tires. This is so stupid. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
