Default rocker panel damage from subaru dealer lift

Recently had new Kartboy shifter bushings placed on my 08 at the Subaru dealer. After coming home I noticed the rocker panels were slightly crumped where the front arms were placed under the seams. They must have placed the lift pods too far laterally when they put it on the lift. Luckily the service advisor is a good friend and racing buddy - I doubt there will be any resistance to taking care of this as they are an outstanding dealer, and very pro-customer. I would recommend you talk to your mechanic about this before they "jack up" your 08.

Are you talking about the pinch welds and the sideskirt? If so, it's really no big deal - all of mine are bent flat because of jackstands.

I am talking about the actual painted portion of the rocker panel below the doors. They were crumped from below on their lateral aspect with paint loss from the pods on the ends of the lift arms. The pinch weld seams are fine and he had them centered on the lift arms when he raised the car. Nevertheless there was enough overlap out to the edge of the rocker panel that it was crushed when he raised the car.
