IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Okay, So I have a 06 wrx sti, when I am turning going slow or starting off it sounds like there is a clunking noise and its pretty loud and annoying! So I went to Irvine Subaru and they said I needed fluid in my Rear Diff. They did that and it still did the same thing so they ordered a new Rear Diff and put it in. I picked up my car and it was still making the same noise so I took it back and they told me they installed a defective Rear Diff. They told me it was okay to drive while they ordered a new one, so I did and I came back when the other one was there and they said now I needed a Rear Diff sensor replaced. So they replaced the Rear Diff sensor and the Rear Diff. And it still did the noise. So they told me I needed a new Central Diff. They ordered that and put it in and it still does it. So does anyone have any suggestions I can tell them to do to my car? I havnt had my car in foreverrrrr. Help please! This ad is not endorsed by this member. Anyway it may be your struts, axle nuts, or CV joints. Have you tried running the DCCD in any other position besides auto? Try running it in every position and if it still makes the same noises I doubt it's your diffs. |

I have the Group-N trans mount and the senior tech at my stealership told me it pushes the trans higher up into the tunnel which caused my syncros to wear out. I'm pretty sure he's full of it but I did notice that the trans sits higher with the Group-N mount than it does with the stock one. |

| Spec C Club | go to south coast subaru for the better mechanic. Go to Renick for better customer service & no hassle about aftermarket parts. Never go back to Irvine. |
