Default Snapped an axle

It just happened. Made a u-turn... and it just broke. I basically broke the front left.. I am still waiting for a word from SOA warranties because the dealer said this would not be covered under warranties. My car has only 26000 on it. Anybody else had similar problems?

I bet they're assuming abuse and are waiting on an SOA rep to check it out. Just stand your ground but with the suspension work in your sig I bet they'll try to deny it.

No they're not really linked at all, but some stealerships will try to pull that crap. They have ways to tell if you've been abusing the car tho.

If you want to push the issue, they have to prove that your modifications caused the damage.

With that said, if, while doing a Uturn you broke your left front, you broke the axle with the least force being applied to it. Something is missing.

That TSB is for rear axles.

Just be courteous and professional with them and you will get farther. The moment you don't, it pisses the dealer and SOA off and more than likely they will be less likely to help you later on. There is a time to be nice and a time not to. The time not to is should be reserved for the end even after a few attempts have failed.

Just say f-it and get some gator axles or something and then don't worry about it. First axle that snaps on me and I'm changing all 4.

Well they finally covered the repair, i just have to pay for the car rental. But The thing about it is that they wrote it in the comment that it was not a warranty coverage but a "goodwill" gesture from SOA and further noted that damages from abusive driving and or from modification. Oh well, but i have to address that and they have to prove it that it was due to abusive driving...

They wrote that so it documents that it is a one time goodwill. So if you come back in with another one, you are paying for it. Sometimes things are not covered by warranty, but the dealer or SOA can goodwill repairs. All of my Goodwill's I mention that on the invoice.
