Question Light for Alarm

My lights have stopped blinking when I alarm the car. Is there something I can do to turn them back on, or just take it to the dealership.

Read your owners manual. I believe that there is some sort of sequence of buttons you can press to shut the blinking lights on and off. It should be listed in your owners manual!

You have accidentally changed the security setting of the alarm. Your owners manual page 2-11 goes over that for you.

It might not even be your fault. I've experienced it personally on everything from 2.5 RS' to STis.. I got out the 05 RS one afternoon, locked it. "beep beep" lights flashed. Walked away for 4 seconds to realize I forgot my wallet in the armrest, hit the unlock button and it unlocked with no beeps at all I tried locking it again... still no sound. Unlocked it, opened my door and locked it with still no beeps. 3 hours later I came out and unlocked it and got a half-dying beep that was sort of distorted and sounded like it was sort of "gargled" and "wobbly". I never actually bothered to to track down the source, but perhaps you are experiencing the same problem. I've also had this problem with an 06 STi. I have heard of other cases of this problem popping up on occasion.

That being said, also check to make sure you just didn't disable it.

I checked the owners manual on page 2-11. My audio is working, but my lights are not flashing. I don't find anything in the owner's manual on how to disable and enable the lights to blink. I appreciate the insight. If anyone has had this problem let me know.

I had a problem with the audio horns and had to take it to the dealership. they replaced the horns. It's worked fine, but now the lights don't blink.

I figured out, I had the car in Valet Mode. Hold the driver door open and hold the unlock button down for 3 seconds, Baaaaaaaaaaaaaam fixed!

It's also on the back of the keyless entry unit thingy.

My car is crazy, i turned the alarm on and nothing happened, several days later it would beep. I was like "okay nice" week later the lights then started flashing. Now it seems to be normal (flashing lights/beep) , crazy subaru...
