If your under 3yrs/36k miles. then yes. If it's past that, then you'll be paying since it's a normal wear item.

As far as the extended warrenty, there are so many out there. You''l have to read the stuff.

warranty doesn't cover clutch wear.

Yes clutches are covered under warranty.... my car went in with 37000 miles with a full turbo back exhaust and stage 2 reflash and they gave me a new clutch disk, pressure plate, throwout bearing. you just have to be nice to the service writer.

It's covered, so are your brake pads incase you are wondering. If they give you sh*t, talk to SOA

I wouldnt say all that. my car only had 24000 miles on it when the clutch went it all depends if they claim you have abused it then you have to fight it or suck it up.

i just got a warranty clutch on my 04 with 9800 miles and a catback about a month ago. No questions asked. The operative phrase seems to be that it shudders in the morning when cold.

The clutch is covered. Read the wear item limited warranty below. It covers clutch, wipers and brakes.

Yes, the clutch is a covered item under the wear item warranty if it has failed due to defect in workmanship.

It is not covered if you burnt it up because of driving style or abuse on the clutch due to a poor driver
The dealer will inspect the clutch and if they see abuse or something questionable, they can declined the warranty service and get SOA involved.

SAS extended warranty does NOT cover clutches.

I wouldn't expect a worn out abused clutch to look any different than any other clutch that went bad. Serious question though, how can they tell?

Extreme discoloration and cracking of the flywheel, material chipped off of the clutch face, and excessive amounts of dust in the bell housing.

Sure they do. You can tell by looking at a clutch by it's wear, how it is worn, etc.
Here is remnant of a clutch that went at 6,XXX miles. Notice the shards and dust like that all over the bell housing and shaft? That doesn't normally happen.

would a worn out clutch that had been slipping a while look the same? Like it should have been replaced but the guy didn't get around to it for a while

How about a defective clutch? (if there is such a thing)
