Default passed 36K warranty. what's next

is there a second warranty that is there for a Subaru? i know that the service (parts and labor) was covered up to 36k for things like brakes etc. but i also heard that there was another one that covered the car up to 50K for major things - like drive train etc.

can anyone confirm this.

You can buy another warranty but I wouldn't recommend it since you're car is modified. Chances are if anything big ever goes they wont cover it

yeah i know i can buy one. but isn't there two warranties standard? one that covers parts and labor for small things like brakes etc and another one that is more a larger coverage?

maybe not. but that's what i thought. i'll call the dealer tomorrow.

so if you manage to screw up the clutch, or somehow snap 1st gear they would potentially cover it under 5year /60K miles if they dont declare abuse? in this case who needs the extended warranty

That's correct. Otherwise I think Minorthreats is correct on the 6/50k powertrain warranty. There should have been a warranty book that came with your car when you bought it. All in the info is in there.

Sometimes more things are covered at a certain dealership. It all depends on who you know. I got my car towed from the track, to the dealership, and still got my axle replaced under warranty. I have coilovers, sticky/larger tires, and alot of other mods. I believe thats the only freebie i'm going to get though
