Default Very Interesting...STi-vs...

STi was good till about 120mph...Good enough!

"dang. that sti launched pretty nice. z06 has nice top end."

"thats my STi.. stock turbo, with a TBE, and a protune.. made 348AWHP..
i do have launch control with my UTEC..
MAKES ME LAUGH, THIS GUY THINKS I HAVE A BIGGER TURBO, OR JUST TRYING TO MAKE SOMETHING SEEM AS WHAT ITS NOT..
when my gt35r goes in, he will see nothing but tail lights"

Just to piss the vette guy off, i would've gotten the jump like you but brake after just little after. You totally dominated off the gun in both runs...nice.

Yea, I would think a GT35R powered STi would have more top end than that.

You CAN make 348whp with a stock turbo? Using just a TBE and protune? uhhhh......not with just a protune and TBE. I guess you could on a stock turbo, but you'd need way more add-ons than just a protune and TBE.

To avoid confusion, STIvendetta only posted the video, he's not the driver. I'm assuming this cause his profile says he owns an 07, whereas the video was clearly a blobeye.....

Nice race, but I'm with everyone else who said there is no way you are making 348 at the wheels with a stock turbo. Unless the dyno you're on reads 290 at the wheels for a stock car.

the question is what does he make for torque. On a dynojet I made 334whp and 394wtq (with alchy). I ran my against buddy's STi with a SZ-55 and stayed out ahead of him until 6th gear. He makes 427/427 hp/tq at the wheels. It's all in the shift and torque curve boys. Corvettes have very long gears........

Corvettes also make 360 at the wheels... Stock (for a C5 Z06).

And weight over 100lbs LESS than an STI.
