IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | A few weeks ago I hit a tree with my 2005 STi also, but it was ONLY $17k in damage so it's being repaired(8 weeks of work). Sorry you lost the car, I can't stand not having mine for 2 months. 3 weeks in and this Camry is making me wanna kill myself. |

At one point, his car stopped at the perfect position for his headlights to make out the shape of a cop car that was watching him and waiting to pounce as soon as he drove off. Instead, my buddy idled over to the cop and talked his way out of trouble. I think since it was not in a dangerous place and no one else was around, the cops were nicer, esp since my buddy didnt try and ditch them. ![]() I never got that lucky when I was younger. ![]() |

| Grassroots STI Racer | The stuff on the video, while immature, was not reckless. Every time I did a cyclone or went offroad I made sure that everyone was far enough away from the area. Most of it was done in a big empty parking lot after business hours or in the middle of a field. The story on the STi is I was taking some twisties at moderate speeds and a decreasing radius turn caught me off guard causing me to understeer head on into a tree that was just off the side of the road. Thank god both my passenger and I were fine. And before anyone jumps to conclusions about why I was hitting up these corners in the first place, this was a closed road with the entrance blocked and a culdersack at the other end. My only reckless miscalculation was allowing a passenger ride along with me. Please try to keep the ridicule down to a minimum because believe me I've heard it all before. I didn't post this to start any e-drama. |

| Professional STI Racer | You could have at least slammed the side of your car in to the tree so a RS owner could have used your motor... This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
