Is this what a wastegate opening sounds like?

Sorry guys I am new at this stuff and this is the sound my car is making? (not the one in the vid).

I think what you are referring to is the turbo sound....it's a large turbo, probably like a GT35R, they are noisy

The high pitched noise you hear between shifting is the ewg. IWSTI experts correct me if I am wrong.

The high pitched noise that you are hearing between shifts is a Blow off valve. It sounds like an HKS Super Sequential. You can hear the external Wastgate Opening near the end of the video. It sounds like the motor all of a sudden becomes a lot louder. Kind of like Honda's VTEC system but on steroids. hahaha. I have to agree though. it does seem like a gt35r setup or something of the sort due to the intitial heavy sheel spin and the 500whp claim. Good clip

You can definitely hear the EWG open up when the exhaust gets 10x louder.

Yeah, but the point is SHOULD a STi with a TBE and Cobb Ap stage 2 be making this noise because thats what the noise my car is making?
