The M-5 is a nice 500 h.p autobahn car...classy, cushie, and expensive....very nice though if one likes cruising fast .... and can afford the maintenance. Last edited by STIVendetta; 06-19-2007 at 06:41 PM.

.....if ya like a expensive fast top-end cruiser on a nice dry sunny day. With that kinda of money, I suppose one would trade it when it hits 50,000 miles.

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | that is the last generation m5 which only boasts 400hp and weighs a ton.....easy kill for a stock sti. now if it were the current generation M5 it might have been a little different. Last edited by ///M Power; 06-20-2007 at 05:23 PM. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Power to weight on the current gen m5 is awful compared to the power to weight of a 20G variant STI.. anything north of 380whp and you should be able to take a m5/m6. I've a GT52 based sti, and with close to 370whp i have taken m6s from dig n roll... POST 130MPH IS ANOTHER STORY. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (5) | Exactly, me too. Price to acquire and ease of modding power makes the STI / Evo the way to go. If you know how to drive they will eat most other performance cars with minimal mods. I've killed a Viper 0-70 in my 2004 STI with header, exhaust, turbo, fuel pump, injectors and tune (maybe 4K in mods). Obviously he would have destroyed me past 90mph, but the road wouldn't allow that. If you are street racing you are rarely going to get north of 120mph on most roads.
