Very interesting, I have to wonder though how bias the video is. Though if Subaru does know one thing it is awd. I am by no means putting down my or anyone else's Subaru that video just seemed very bias.

Have to say, I sold Subies for two years and got to do a "Ride and Drive" back in the day. Didn't get to drive anything exciting (this was PRE hot Impreza days). I did, however, beat the hell out of the cars we got to drive. It was a specially designed course, sort of like a time attack. Drove them all equally hard, including the Subaru. They also had a wet skidpad to check the traction difference.

A co-worker (old guy) TOTALED a BMW 3 coupe by hitting the concrete base of a light pole! LMFAO!

I do think it is a little biased, but after seeing a lot of so called "AWD" cars in the mountains, I can safely say that Subaru and Audi pwn everything else. Heck, my Moms Jeep Grand Cherokee has AWD (I told her to go for the 4x4 system) and it struggles where my STI and '95 Legacy Wagon have no trouble. Thats why she is selling the Jeep and getting a Forester or Outback.

Your mom is doing that because obviously she is intelligent! LOL! When I sold Subarus, my demo was a 5-speed Legacy L wagon. I went home in freezing rain one night and had to come to a dead stop on a hill because of an accident at the top. This was when Subies used to have the "hill holder" clutch. There were pickups and SUV's on the road as well, but when it came time to go, I let the clutch out and didn't spin a tire. I could hear the trucks and SUV's spinning for traction. I was amazed. Keep in mind the Subies back then only had 14" rolling stock. My '03 Legacy doesn't go nearly as well in snow as my '95 did ('03 has 205/55/60's vs. '95 185/70/14's). Different story on the dry...

Anywho, I agree the video is biased, but a good video nonetheless.

I agree, I own both an STI and Volvo V70 2.5 T AWD and I find Subaru gear to more of the performance end and Volvo into the luxury side. I like them both. This review is to Bias .

The video claims Subaru only did the last test. It mentioned that all the other tests were done by professionals. I would want to believe that the other tests were done by an independent group like Motor Trend.

I'd like to see a plain jane 5 speed 2.5i in the same tests. I think the diffs and TC on the higher end moddels make a huge difference. But I will say, my wifes 05 OB 5spd did well when we live in CT. My old WRX with snow tires was a terror of the streets.
