The New HSPN TV

We've redesigned HSPN TV and added many new features for HSPN TV subscribers.

The website address is: www.hspn.tv

One of the most noticable changes is the "HSPN TV Tools" box which allows you to e-mail & post videos and get video notifications (much like new post notifications on the forum).

The other major changes are rewards for HSPN TV subscribers. HSPN TV Silver, Gold, & Platinum subscribers now have the power to disable ALL advertisements on HSPN TV including google ads, commercials before videos, etc.

Gold & Platinum members will now have access to the new 720 Large HSPN Player:

(The image above is slightly blurry due to MOTION as the camera is moving at nearly 100mph. The video will not look blurry while playing, only when paused.)

As you can see, the new 720 Large player is almost twice the size of the standard player. However, unlike Google, YouTube, and other video services, the file is not just "stretched" or "zoomed 200%" to look bigger. The actual video quality / file size has been doubled, allowing for a much larger view without any loss in image quality.

Tech specs:

Standard Player: 400x226 (768 bitrate) - Streamable on all broadband connections (DSL, Cable, T1)
720 Large Player: 720x406 (1600 bitrate) - Streamable on higher speed broadband connections (Most Cable, Some DSL -- 3mbit + recomended)
HD Download: 1280x720 (3500 bitrate) - Not streamable, WMV file download only

Just like IWSTI, becoming an HSPN TV silver, gold, or platinum subscriber helps support the costs of the video servers, filming equipment, travel expenses, track rentals, etc. Without HSPN TV subscribers and donations we would never be able to provide this content and we thank you very much for your help!

To become an HSPN TV subscriber just log in to your HSPN TV account using your HSPN username and password (same username as the HSPN forums, My HSPN Home Page, etc). If you don't have an HSPN username it only takes 30 seconds to register an account. Once you've logged in the first button in your user CP is labeled "Upgrade." Click the button and select an upgrade level and you're all set!

While we're on the topic of HSPN TV, I'd also like to mention that we're currently filming the "Ultimate Streetable STI" project which will include:

Stock car / Stock driver -- laps around Buttonwillow (& best time)

Stock car / Professional driver -- laps around buttonwillow (& best time)

We will then take the car and mod it to the moon on video with How-To Installs (while maintaining full drivability), and then send it back to the track.

Modded car / Stock driver -- laps around Buttonwillow (compare to previous times)

Modded car / Modded driver -- have the pro train the "stock" driver and then compared his times again. What's better? Modding the car or modding the driver? We'll see!

If even one of the above videos is going to help you install a part on your car yourself it's well worth the $9 to become an HSPN TV subscriber. After all, if you install a part yourself instead of paying a professional you'll save anywhere from $50 to $500 on EACH of the parts above!

Excellent work Ben!

I have viewed the 720px player over a cablemodem connection and did not have any streaming difficulties. The HD downloads are super clear. This is definitely an awesome player upgrade!

You can see it at: www.hspn.tv

If you don't like the ticker, you can log in to your HSPN TV account (free) and turn it off via your User CP.

Not much new lately coming from the HSPN camp. I've always checked and supported the site, but there hasn't been much happening on it in a while. Hopefully we can all expect some dope videos soon.

Not trying to save anyone's skin here but I am thinking the videos will start to pour in once the New STI debuts. Plus since the new Site Admin. Kevin(Nivek) took over, he has been swampped keeping up with this site plus all of its Sister sites if you will. I am a true believer to the phrase, "Good Things come to those who wait"

Because of the overwhelming cost of video servers and bandwidth, we are relying on the FREE websites like YouTube and Revver for new videos. The old action videos we all have come to love have been delayed indefinitely

. Ben now left and now lives in the OC. He was the on primarily responsible for that content. I served more of a supporting role. I have three how-to install videos that I am getting ready to publish.

I did produce and publish two 2008 sti videos seen at the top of the list here:

Hopefully, we can get some more action footage for you guys!
