1st if you look hard enough you can find 996 turbos in the high 50s low 60s range... and by the time you get an sti to 450hp + purchase price and supporting mods to keep it somewhere near as reliable as a bone stock porshe you're pretty much in that range... now.... modding the porsche on the other hand will cost you 17k just for a turbo kit injectors and tune.

all that being said.. my neighbors friend just ordered a 997 turbo and when i get my license back i'm planning on building a gc8 widebody to spank him... cause thats more my style ohh... and i'll own my car out right hahaha.... (along with two others)

Overpriced? Maybe
Overrated? I don't think so.

I don't think many people here would turn down a Porsche if they could swap it with their STI. The STI is great, but I've driven a Carrera S, and well its good stuff.

Not that I dont appreciate Porsche.

There has to be something said for a car that normally has to be auctioned off to get a decent price for the car. The used car market for Porsches' is horrible. Great car, p1ss poor resale value.
