If pay attention to the rear of the WRX you`ll notice that it has the old style tails

It would affect an NA car as well although not as bad. No way the E36 M3 with stated mods would take an STi that badly.

The car in the video is an E36 NA running intake, MAF manifold from an earlier M3 is I am correct, ltw flywheel exhaust and software. That would make it a HIGH 13 second car at sealevel. THe "sti" should have taken him or at least hung ALTO better. (also, note the announcer calls it a WRX and not an STI) ( also gotta love the hairdryer 4banger statement). I don't think it is an STi. If you listen as the Subi goes by you do not even hear exhaust, it sound svery quiet. A stock STi is louder than a WRX by a good bit at WOT.

Cliffnotes. Stock WRX looses to decently modded M3 in drag race. M3 driver WISHES it had been an STi.
