IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | i searched youtube, here, and clubwrx. i either found no links orbroken ones. im deciding between a few systems for my 06 sti. i want a deep deep sound, much like the g200 but i like that smaller stock tip look that cobb provides. i checked the loudness thread and it seems like these are in my window: Perrin dual tube single tip cobb APS - never seen it or heard an outside the car vid, cant find one. borla xr-1 - havent found a vid yet, anyone? bueller? i want a true 3 inch for the flow, i know the dual tube isnt 3inch but its not 2.5" like a genome, and a deep sound through therev range. some of the exhausts the idle deep get raspy and little too line 4 like at the top end. im probably going with e ahelix catted DP if that helps. anyinfo, pics or vids are appreciated. thanks ! IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | stromung 3" single tip. So deep its rediculous. Ive had cops drive behind me for a long time on the highway, until you hit it, it aint too loud, catless TBE. |

| Amateur STI Driver | I am running a helix catted DP with an older Perrin single tip and love it. Actually just cruising on the highway my wife doesnt mind it and we can still carry on a conversation. If i get on the gas it opens up and has a nice deep sound to it. Plus its not a huge can and looks pretty stock. Last edited by lostinthewoods; 11-23-2006 at 06:37 PM. |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2006 Trader Rating: (5) | if I were you, I would get the Perrin (non dual tube) single tip. It looks stock, and has an awsome growl. The Dual tube is good, but it weighs too much, and there is no proven performance increase! |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | so far google video and youtube no have the stromung. is there a big sound difference between a perrin single tip and the dual tube single tip? and wow that borla xr 1 is way raspier at the top than i thought it would be. |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2006 Trader Rating: (5) | there is little sound difference between the perrin single tip and the dual tube at lower revs. at higher revs, nothing sounds like the dual tube. i think the closet that Jeff Perrin and I can compare it to is a Porsche. |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | hmm sounds promising. its up there in my list right now with a stromung 3" or a perrin single tip. why getthe dual tube over the single tip are they priced the same/ |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2006 Trader Rating: (5) | No, dual tube is more expensive. One would get the dual tube because of its unique sound, and the fact that it's *supposed* to have better flow because of the increased pipe volume. This ad is not endorsed by this member.
