The catback gives you most of the sound, the downpipe gives you all the power, and a little extra sound. Sorry no soundclip, but i'll tell you that with a cobb catback, it sounded deeper and just a little bit quieter than with the full cobb TBE (a little louder and higher pitched with the TBE).

i know i will not be at full potential but i will be better than running stock turbo with stock downpipe..
as far as catback. im still trying to find the difference with dyno plots between stock and aftermarket catbacks.. and im sure with the aftermarket turbo i will need the catback

if anyting most people go the other way around. they get DP and the stock catback. a catback will give you 3-4hp maybe.

but i wont be street legal... im not trying have a cop give an inspection if i get pulled over, not that i would do anything stupid. and i dont want to keep changing downpipes

not taht i know of, but it is known that they dont add much HP. Think about it, all of the restriction is in the DP.

just buy a bolra hush hush or stromong exhaust system with a resignator. and u should be able to run a catted down pipe in cali with no problem get it tuned so it runs clean. It will pass emisions with flying colors
