no,that's not a cobra., it's a gt with a ricer whine!!1 it's so funny,no matter how much you prove it's a cobra. the non-believers will still not believe you. they just can't take that a 4cyl can beat the almighty cobra.

Second you can tell by the wing/spoiler on the trunk and the rear bumper that it's not a Cobra, that's a dead give away. Third you cannot hear the blower. Go to a race track and wait for a 2003+ Cobra to pull up, even a stock one you can hear the blower all the way from the stands.

It definately is a Cobra though I can see that from the rear IRS and how the exhaust pipes are hanging. It is a standard 4v 320 HP Cobra, probably a 1999 or a 2001 Cobra.

dude u just said it urself that the wing is different and if you look close at the video it has the "duck" wing on the back ..theres no gap between the wing and the trunk. and like you said you own a "mustang" not a "03 cobra" ive owned a 03 cobra. anyone with one can tell you that when you're towards the back of one you hear the exhuast, but when you're next to it you can hear the blower...

Nanuet is close to spring valley, by rockland county.

I am a previous Cobra owner. I cannot tell you from looks in the video, but my STOCK 03 cobra whined A LOT more than that. Unless this guy is half pedaling it the whole time, there is no way that is a supercharged 2003 Cobra. And you should be able to hear it in the burnout, at least, there is no way to avoid whine in a burnout. Anyway, I say it was either a GT or more likely an 01 Cobra.

and he only has 3 posts... lol someone probably made a new screen name just to post this thread.. people just dont understand from a dig our cars are hard to beat, specially when you beat them out the hole, most of the time people just sit and spin all day cause they get to excited about the race and loosing.

no, I am new. I love mustangs, but I have been converted to AWD and turbos!!! I am not just trying to doubt you, but I am saying either that car is not a Cobra, or the driver really sucks, because that video is making it as fast as a GT.

Ya we sure are

I am still doubting the fact that it is an 03 Cobra. You can show pics of Cobras all day and show a different video of it, but suprisingly there is still no single shot of the engine with the roots style blower on it. I have yet to meet any 03 Cobra owner who hasn't taken shots of his engine and put them online

BTW I have no problem 'eating crow' or saying I am wrong. I have been wrong many times and this will definately not be the last.

Cobras are not hard to beat with a stage 2 STi. Even stock 1/4 mi times are very similar, trap speed favors the Cobra obviously. So a driver doesnt even have to suck to get beat by a stock STi...let alone a modified one.

alright guys, I watched the video much better this time. I can still hardly hear any blower whine. however, I can see the independent rear. This proves its a Cobra. And finally, I saw the LED third brakelight....def an 03 Cobra. The driver still seems like he can't drive, he spins the wheels waaaay too long at the burnout, and then doesnt let up to get traction at the start of the races. However, I give the STi the win, cuz I love both cars, and I am not going to be biased, even as a Mustang fan. What mods are on the STi?

Looks like intake/header/TBE/FMIC and tune...just about everything but a bigger turbo. Should be good for 300+whp and 350lbs-tq (or so).
