ive gotta say something here since before my 06 sti i used to have a cobra, and i had one of the nasty ones in NY too, i made a sick video that was called "wick" if you do a search on aj im sure that you'll prolly find it. cobras are alot harder to come out the hole then an sti, from a roll i wouldnt care about racing anything because the amount of tq. they have. at the track it would be easier for the cobra to lauch then the sti since its really sticky (this is JMO about the track) and as for that being a 03 there is no doubt that that cobra there had to be one or a 04. when you're behind the car theres a hard time to hear the blower even at WOT. and in my vid you can see it since i do a stop heading towards the camera and an away shot of it too. or ill try to post it when i bring my laptop to my gfs house. awsome kill with the stock blower, i cant wait to finish my set up since i want to trap around 128-132. and my old cobra trapped 124 with bolt ons, and a ported blower.

Nope still can't hear it. You know why? Because it's not a 2003+ Cobra, your friend is lying to you. How do I know this? For one I have own a Mustang and know many, many people with them including Cobras. Second you can tell by the wing/spoiler on the trunk and the rear bumper that it's not a Cobra, that's a dead give away. Third you cannot hear the blower. Go to a race track and wait for a 2003+ Cobra to pull up, even a stock one you can hear the blower all the way from the stands.

It definately is a Cobra though I can see that from the rear IRS and how the exhaust pipes are hanging. It is a standard 4v 320 HP Cobra, probably a 1999 or a 2001 Cobra.

show me where? I haven't posted in a long time other than the z06 thread and a couple other technical threads. So yea two threads where people post about their lack of knowledge of american cars. Maybe it is because all of my friends own domestics all at 500rwhp+ and I spend a lot of time while they are working on them and at the track.

I mean there is no way to really prove it at this point, so just take it for what it's worth. Maybe it is an '03 but he doesn't seem to be pushing it if it is. Oh well have fun in here.

Go post your vids on nasioc off-topic section. Or have your buddy post it on cobra board. Then you will learn harsh, lol.

clearly that pic is a cobra, like i said there is no way to prove it now, because anyone could post a pic and say that was the car, etc. You gotta learn to take criticism esp for a street race vid in the dark.

What other proof would you like? I am the one who shot and edited the video, I am friends with conor and rocco, the 03 cobra owner...let me know what proof (besides a video) that you could need.

Here is the unedited footage right before the run, same night, same cars (hey you ever see conor right next to him) and all the same people at the race...it clearly shows an 03 cobra, you can see the stock wheels in the back which the mickey thompson drag radials are mounted, the headlight removed for better air flow to his filter and you can hear the blower do a little whoosh at the beginning of the video...I don't believe I can get any more proof (which justin claims is impossible to provide since me and conor are lying) without having notorized statements from me and the cobra owner.

I think an apology is in order for conor imho...you guys ragged on your own kind for just posting up a video for your enjoyment, if he was really looking to get people riled up this would have went on a cobra forum.

Its not conors fault he can drive his vehicle and all the coulda shoulda wouldas dont mean anything at race time, sure if the cobra was a healthy/well driven cobra it could have walked right around conor, but thats simply not the case...conor 60 foots WAY better then rocco and even posted better et's. The mph I will admit however leans in the cobras favor but not by much...not everyone can be a good driver and rwd vs awd tips the scales in conors favor.
