Sti vs Cobra - Page 4

i heard no blower... you sure that was a cobra lol

my buddy has an '03 cobra and that sounds nothing like a cobra... no whine or anything

just listen when he is heating his tires... definitley not an '03/'04 cobra

this is what a real cobra sounds like

older cobras like '01 style werent supercharged and came around 320 crank hp. '03/'04 come stock w/ Eaton supercharger and are listed at 390crank hp but were underrated and can dyno close to that at the wheels

I agree with you on the sound. but, you wont hear the blower from that far behind unless it has a pulley or upgraded blower. The video you showed of a real cobra isn't stock.

i made vids w/ my friends cobra when it was stock... all you heard on the vid was his blower...

Nice vid. Good kill.

I don't think you can judge a particular car by sound in a video alone. I had a 91 Z28 with a blower, and the ONLY time you can hear the blower at all is @ an idle. But hell who knows, still a nice vid :P

notice how you only hear the whinning when the cobra is coming at you.... as soon as it passes you it sound like a regular mustang with exhaust.

thats because he lets off right as he passes the camera, you only here the whine at WOT

unless that was staged, like i said my friend has an '03 we did plenty of playing around all different mph starts, tracks, etc. even a stock cobra will pull on a stage2 sti after the launch, why do you think they trap low teens stock

Who cares what it was? He got smoked. Period. Stop dissing on the vid. Doesn't matter wether it was a cobra, a gremlin, or Santa's sleigh, he got beat, let it be.

I raced a cobra with exhaust when my STi was bone stock. I won 2 times and he won 2 times. One thing is for sure, right after we passed 1/4 he walked away fast...

I really need my new turbo.
