| Amateur STI Driver | I recently added an Invidia downpipe w/split bellmouth and catalytic converter + Worx Tuning catback to my 2004 STi. I love the sound! | Amateur STI Driver | IslandBoy - speaking of stage 2, today I installed the Cobb Accessport + Stage 2 91 octane map and the car feels noticeably quicker, especially in the middle of the rev range. I know this upgrade is old news for many WRX/STi owners out there but I finally hopped on the bandwagon and I'm kicking myself I didn't do it sooner. As for sound level vs. the Invidia G200 or N1, I have no idea. There's a spreadsheet I ran across on Nasioc that lists the dB readings for a bunch of combos. The G200 was definitely on my list of possibilities but I liked the more refined, no-drone, emphasis of the Worx system so I went with it. Joel |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (6) | It would be nice to see a comparison with this setup against the full Cobb TBE, or with Maddap Whisper setup... But I love the sound... I read your review, but just to verify, this is a full 3 setup? Thanks again~ |

| Amateur STI Driver | Islandboy630 - Yes, it's a full 3" system. The flex joint is slightly larger than 3" but it fits over the 3" pipe so it maintains a full 3" diameter. So, starting at the downpipe and going all the way back to the muffler exit, it's at least 3" the whole way, then terminates in a ~4" tip. Regardless of whether it affects performance at my level of tune, it really bugged me that the Cobb system necks down to 2.5". whitson01 -- Yes, I work at Microsoft on the team creating Forza Motorsport2. I can't comment on the release date but rest assured, we're taking the time to do it right so it'll be worth the wait. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | thats the sickest exhaust ive seen its probly stupid asking but... im getting my sti soon and didnt know if i should get the SPT exhaust system that is optional from the dealer for around $500 is it as loud? what am i best off doing? plz and thanks |

| Amateur STI Driver | I haven't heard the SPT exhaust in person but I'd guess it's not as loud since it's officially endorsed by Subaru. The videos I've seen on Google & YouTube have such crappy microphones it's hard to tell if the bad sound you hear is the exhaust or the recording. I think the STi Genome is louder. I'm obviously biased to say "get the one I got" since, well, I got the one I got. Having had the system on for a week, I love it more now than I did when I first put it on. I think that says something.Joel |
