not every stage, they can change the gearbox if it breaks down, they change it in 20min HA i want a job there!


They change to new parts every round.

Isn't the rev match what really helps the synchros? If you rev match properly, they hardly have to do anything, what does double clutching do to help?

When you double clutch, you spin the engine AND the transmission at the same speed. when you just rev match your only matching engine speed. as far as why double clutching is better for the synchro's im not positive, but i know it does help (although much less on a car with synchro's than a car without them).

lol went out for a quick drive and there is no way im gettin that double clutch thing down any time soon lol . . . first time i tried it i let of the clutch to early while it was in gear and . . . the car jerked sooo bad. . . not good not good . . . but lol its fun watching hahaha

If this is the video I think it is (can't watch it at the office), one of the reasons he might be double clutching is because that car might have a dogbox...or at least that is what I was told a couple years ago when I asked the same question. To double clutch that fast I would imagine you also need a proper clutch setup.

and i was worried that it was a re-post

when your doing double clutch, don't take your foot off the pedal. you just need to raise it till you get to the zone where the clutch would normally grab and mash it down again. practice makes perfect.... or practice makes Gary Sheehan

lol i think it is a 02 or 03 wrx cause the rpm is on the right side and not in the middle and the interior looks just like my car . . .
