| Amateur STI Driver | I raced a buddy in a full exhaust, 4.10, TB, pullies, Plenum and a tune. I am stock. He lost from a roll multiple times. That car with drag radials might run mid 13's. With all of those mods, my buddy might have gained 25 WHP |

you've gota give a little bit of respect to the 03-04 svt cobras. it performs well, lots of power, lots of upgradability. probably the only ford i'd consider buying ever. my friend has one stock for stock, he easily took me on the drag strip. any car that can run a sub 13sec quarter mile stock shouldn't be taken lightly back on topic-- i doubt a normal GT would be of any concern. | |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Imports aren't the only cars that are riced out. Putting a cobra emblem, cold air intake, and exhaust on a GT shouldn't even register on an STi's radar. My previous car to my STi was a 2001 cobra. It had an intake, exhaust, and rear gear upgrade. My stock STi (not stock anymore) would have beat it off the line while the cobra would still be spinning in its wheels--the beauty of awd. The cobra was heavy and felt like I was in a boat, despite almost 3K invested in suspension. Bottom line. . .the STi would run passed, through, and around any cobra wannabe. |

| Spec C Club | haha sti killer, come on now it's a mustang GT i raced 99-02 GT in my g/fs 160hp scion tc a few months ago, it was all loud and what not he only pulled 2 cars on us and after the pull was looking over at me like "oh yeah just showed him" there is a group of guys around here that i went to school with, all 3 brothers, all 3 mustang owners, all 3 at the drag races ever weekend, 2 cant touch 13's with drag radials, the other ran a best of 13.2 with DR's (00 cobra) and has blown his tranny 4x now |
