IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | Here's a pass I made not too long ago. This is my best launch with the new GT35R setup, it was a 1.71 60-ft. This was before I had the new DBW maps on the car which stop the ecu from closing the throttle plate when it hits redline. I shifted to 2nd when the throttle plate closed, which caused the car to nosedive and come out of boost in 2nd (it was pretty noticable from inside the car, but not in the video). The new DBW map should keep the car from bogging in 2nd, but I haven't had a chance to run the car again. It should improve my 330' time by a couple tenths and bring me into the 11's. This was on 24psi with conservative timing, low 11 AFR's, and straight water injection (I am really scared of knock). 80 degree temps with 90% humidity that day. The other car was a Stage2 06 STI, he ran 14.39 @ 101.8 but later was running mid 13's. On the timeslip it looks like he missed 2nd gear. We had a lot of subies at the track that day http://videos.streetfire.net/video/d...b294a2e37a.htm This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Spec C Club | Thats pretty darn good considering temps, only 24psi for a 35R, and the throttle issue. Boost drop just kills these cars at the strip with all the shifting you have to do. Like you said, low 11 AF is very safe for having water injection. Nice vid! |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | I'd love to but I'm in europe (belgium) all week for work. Coming back on saturday afternoon, so maybe I can hit the track next wednesday. I started tuning for meth injection instead of water right before I left, I'm running a 50/50 mix of distilled water and methanol. I should have my AFR's stable by next wednesday, I'm just hoping the clutch holds up. And thanks for the camera work blizzz. I <3 your car. |
