| Junior STI Driver | The power of the launch surprised him/her and caused them to steer slightly left with their left hand. Of course since the car is AWD, it will pull you in the direction the front tires are pointing. They just need to learn to keep the steering wheel streight if they launch like that. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2005 Trader Rating: (2) | It's CALLED: TORQUE STEER. Torque steer left, torque steer right. YEAH RIGHT!!!! ![]() EDIT: Just noticed that it appears he/she has vinyl on the driver side doors. Maybe it was so we could see that vinyl DOES in fact add horsepower by causing major torque steer in an AWD car! Fellows- consider this mystery- SOLVED! Mods- consider this case, CLOSED! Lock it and call it a day. Last edited by dsupermansti; 06-06-2006 at 08:22 PM. |

Looks at his front tires, straight after launch you see them slightly move less (one hand on steering plus hug bump forward from the power caused him to move wheel slightly). Good save though. Best to have both hands on wheel, even though after launch 1st does rev out in a matter of seconds. |

Ayhow, nice conjecture, but I always launch with only one hand on the steering wheel not giving it a sceond thought and I never get sideways. Maybe it was from honing my skills with Hondas in the beginning?... | |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | wow! it's always nice to see an sti launching, i wish i could launch mine. but unfortunatly my tires dont slip 1 inch, and it REALLY sounds like someone is shooting a canon in the back seat when i launch. plus i hear like cracking sounds from under the car. so i slip the clutch instead This ad is not endorsed by this member.
