Default Ah ha! Was wondering if this was on the net somewhere.

http://www.dpccars.com/car-movies/05...bishiNSX-R.htm
And that's a V-Limited with suspension tuning from the factory with input from a rally driver. Check out Best Motoring- Factory Fighters for more info. Blue is soooo nice. I love the look of the V-Limited. Wish I had gotten blue...

EDIT: To those who want to know the R34's time it is: 50"454

Totally bummed that the R34 vid ended in the middle! i love that car, and it would have been great to hear the commentary afterwards. Nice find on the vid...

He launches at 7 grand for the autocross! Goodbye tranny to any of us trying that same thing. What a blast to test and beat the hell out of these cars.

I think they should've compared the MR to the 06 STI not the 05 they used, because the DCCD works faster in correcting then previous models from what I've heard.

Lol some of you 06 owners seem to think that new yaw control sensor is a magic genie or something, it doesnt really make that big of a difference according to most magazine articles I have read, but Ill hold my tongue til I get my chance to drive an 06 . At any rate that wasnt an 05 STi, according to the vid it was a 2003(?) v-limitied, not sure what all the specs are but I would bet money that stock for stock that thing will outrun any USDM impreza 06 or not. Another thing worth noting is the fact that the USDM MR does not get the AYC or ACD that the JDM MR version has (from my understanding even the non MR EVO's get the AYC and ACD in Japan), which gives it a huge advantage over the one we get here in the states. That is one of the areas the USDM STi shines over the USDM EVO's. All in all a very cool vid, I wasnt surprised to see that a guy who drives EVO's for a living turns a better lap in non other than an EVO of course. I do think that he was giving the Impreza it's all but maybe he just wasnt quite as home in it. I would like to have seen the skyline's time just outta curiousity.

I'm just basing my oppinion on the motor trend compare articles i've read. in 06 the sti and the evo MR were almost dead even in all events. (US version). in 05 (or 04) comparison the evo (not sure if it was an MR) was faster by over a full second on their track.

but lets be honest with ourselves. its not the sensor, or the dccd. its the roof vane and under car rear difuser that makes the 06 faster

The end of the vid was cut not to show the EVO with a blown head gasket at the end of the day... !
